전치사 in / on / at -기본 개념세우기 -장소 편

1. 시설(물) / 이벤트 - "at"

Let's meet at the bus stop.

I'll see you at the party.

I met a lot of people at the conference.

은행에서 일해

I work at a bank.

I work in/for a bank. (소속의 개념)

2. 공간 - "in"

I'll meet you in the lobby

in the bathroom

in the bedroom

in the living room

in my pocket

in the corner

3. 표면 / 이동수단 - "on"

on the desk

on the wall

on the ceiling

on the window

on my shirt

I saw her on the subway

I'm on the elevator

I'm on the bus right now.

어제 가족이랑 외식했어. 중국집에서 저녁식사를 했어.

우리가 도착했을 때는 사람이 많아서 웨이팅 있었는데

우리 동네에는 중국집이 거기 밖에 없거든.

그래서 대기명단에 이름을 올리고 차에서 기다렸어.

I went to a restaurant with my family yesterday. I had a dinner at a Chinese restaurant.

When we arrived there, there was a waiting line because of a lot of people

but there is one Chinese restaurant in my neighborhood

So, I listed on waiting list and waited in the car.

My family and I went out for dinner yesterday. We ate at a Chinese restaurant.

When we got there, it was pretty crowded and there was a queue.

But that's the only Chinese restaurant in our neighborhood.

So we put our name on the waiting list and we waited in the car.

대화체 속에서 문맥과 함께 전치사 감각 익히기

A: When do you leave? 언제가?/떠나?

B: I leave next week, on Friday. It's the 18th. 다음주 금요일. 18일이야

* 요일처럼 특정한 어느 '하루'를 가리킬 때 on 사용

* 나 18일에 떠나/ 출발해 - I leave on the 18th (of January)

A: What time is your flight? I think I can take you to the airport.

몇시 비행기야? 내가 공항에 데려다 줄 수 있을 것 같은데

B: Really? That would be great! 정말? 그러면 완전 좋지

It's a 3 o'clock flight but I want to get(be/arrive) there by noon.

You know, (in order) to get everything sorted.

* go 를 사용하면 출발 부터 도착까지의 이동 과정을 다 얘기함

3시 비행기인데 12시까지는 가고 싶어. 이것저것 처리해야 되서.

A: Yeah, of course. I can pick you up at your place at around 10.

물론이지. 너네 집에서 10시 쯤에 픽업할 수 있어.

B: Yeah, that sounds great.

시간을 가리키는 전치사 기본 개념 세우기

The exhibition is held once every year in January. 전시회가 매년 1월에 한 번씩 열려

*once a year 1년에 한번

This year, it's being held for 4 days. 올해에는, 4일 동안 열릴 예정이야

It starts next week on the 21st and it ends on the 25th. 다음주 21일 시작해서 25일 끝나

I'm going to go on the first day, on Monday. 난 첫 날인 월요일에 갈거야
