배고파 뭘 먹긴 해야 됐는데, 일 끝나고 너무 피곤해 뭘 만들어 먹고 싶진 않았고 밖에는 비가 와 나가고 싶지 않아 그냥 라면 먹었어.

I was hungry so I had to eat something but I was so tired after work and I didn't want to cook anything (And) I didn't want to go out because it was raining outside so I just ate ramen.

My father drove + throughout the entire(whole) trip

My house(apartment) has 2 bedrooms.

내 방에 큰 창문이 하나 있어요. (There is a big window in my room.)

I have a big window in my room.

My room has a big window.


사용빈도

There is(are) 는 그걸 사용하는 사람이 소유하거나 정해져 있지 않을 경우 사용. 


근처에 횡단보도가 없어요.

There is no crosswalk nearby.

There are no crosswalks near here.

횡단보도는 공용이라 There is 구조가 어울림.


부모님의 집에는 2개의 TV가 있어.

There are 2 televisions at my parent's place. - 가능하지만 They have 구조 보다 어색.

They have 2 televisions (at their place).

Their house has 2 televisions. (X) - 원래 집의 일부가 아닌 추가된 물건이라 이 문장 구조는 안됨.


그 가게는 테이블이 아주 많아.

There are a lot of tables at the store. 

They have a lot of tables.


Is there..? / Are there..?

Do you have..? / Do they have..?

Does it have..?


이 근처에 백화점이 있나요? (공공시설/장소)

Is there a department store nearby(near here)?

거기 근처에 주유소가 있어요?

I drive to work 2 or 3 times a week. 저는 1주일에 두 세번 운전해서 출근해요.

I leave early every day. 저는 매일 일찍 출발해요. [ start 는 시작. 출발x ]

She didn't say anything to me. 그녀는 나한테 아무말도 안했어.

I'm not going to say anything to her. 난 그녀에게 아무말도 안할거야.
